Closure of the Van Gogh Museum Due to Red Line Demonstration – 5 October
This Sunday, 5 October 2025, the ‘Rode Lijn’ / Red Line demonstration will take place in Amsterdam, following two earlier demonstrations in The Hague. The Red Line demonstrations are intended to call on the Dutch government to take concrete action against the genocide in Gaza. Participants, dressed in red, will walk through the city to form a symbolic ‘red line.’ The route begins at Museum Square at 1 PM.

Ron Teerlink New Chairman of the Supervisory Board Van Gogh Museum
The Supervisory Board of the Van Gogh Museum has appointed Ron Teerlink as its new Chair as of 1 October 2025. Teerlink succeeds Jacobina Brinkman, whose second term expired this year. The role was then temporarily filled by Hendrik Jan Roel.
